All competitors fought their hearts out at this outstanding and very well run event. Every Team Lloyd Irvin competitor medalled in each of their very hard fought divisions. Master Lloyd Irvin Jr. stated that he was very proud of his 1st time competitors. “It takes guts to get out there that first time and lay in on the line.”
First time competitors include: Little Ninja Black Belt club member Trevon and Master’s Club after-school members Natalia Singleton, and Steven Thompson.
Silver and Bronze Medalists include: Ross Olexa, Miguel Davis, Isiah Edmond, Leah Chaney, Justin Porter, Kobe Adolph, Ivana Washington, Angelo Claiborne, Moises Maittre, and Makel Abdullah.
We would also like to extend a very big thank you to our brothers and sisters from Team Lloyd Irvin Evolve Gaithersburg. They definately showed up and delivered some crucial victories to ensure that together, Team Lloyd Irvin stays on top.

I´m coming over from Sweden at end of May to visit the Academy for a weeks training… Then you´ll get the chance to “Kick my B…!” when it comes to “grappling”…
I´m a 50 year ‘young karate guy’ that will ‘test-train’ BJJ for the VERY first time…
Always remember that only those who dare to fail greatly can achieve greatly!
This applies to me (trying out BJJ …) just as much as any of you now – in the start of your “sports careers”…
