After winning the Advanced Team Title in 2006 yet losing the all around competition (beginner/intermediate), Team Lloyd Irvin arrived at Jersey City, New Jersey with only one thing in mind. The undisputed World Title. Although the NAGA World Championship is not widely recognized as the Abu Dhabi Worlds, or the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Worlds for adult competition, for kids and teens there is NO bigger and/or tougher tournament. Team Lloyd Irvin arrived with competitors competing in every level of competition from Novice to Expert and the results were clear. The day was filled with unbelievable excitement and competitiveness as the best youth teams in the country went at it over 5 hours. Outstanding performances were turned in by hundreds of competitors other academies as well.
Key match ups were those of:
Cory Walker vs. Drake Dudley
Pedro Vasconsales vs. Michael Trasso
But don’t take my word for it, take a look at some of the weekend’s events
